ABOUT THE DOCTOR

Dr. Chukwuma Anyadike, board certified in colon and rectal surgery, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA with a degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. He also graduated from the Honors program at VCU with University Honors and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honors society. Dr. Anyadike received his medical degree from the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA and went on to complete his general surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark, NJ. Following his general surgical training he was awarded a highly sought after colorectal surgery fellowship at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY. During his fellowship he gained extensive experience in state of the art techniques for managing colorectal disease. He has given multiple presentations on topics in colon and rectal surgery in local and national meetings. As the head of Maryland Colorectal Specialists, he is dedicated to providing exemplary care to patients suffering from colorectal disease with excellent results.
